Relunctantly having to sell my 1962 Splitscreen Panel Van. This van is a one off with original sign writing and patina, which gives it character and a look that turns heads everywhere. It was used in Uruguay as a cake delivery van and the cake confectionary shop displayed on the side is still operating today, Chaja being the national dish of Uruguay which is a celebration cake. the van has a story and has had a life which it proudly displays. The van was imported into the UK about 7/8 years ago and was german built, and as I was told by the previous owner (who owned a VW restoration company) it underwent a full rebuild consisting of the following- Bug IRS rear end Chassis strengthen Gas Shocks Adjustable Spring Plates New type 3 Rear Brakes Fellows Disc Conversion Upfront Willwood Calipers Flipped Spindles Custom Rack & Pinion Steering Rebuilt 1641 Motor Bug Transmission New Wiring Loom New Uprated Master Cylinder & Braided Lines Freshly Painted Interior New Full Width Rusty Lee R&R Bed with Kens Customs Upholstery UK Registered I've changed the wheels but can supply the ones pictured also. Its a very unique, one in the world Chaja van, the previous owner took it around Germany covering 2000km and the van didn't miss a beat. I'll be sad to let it go, I literally love it and it makes me smile every time I enter my garage. It gets a lot of interest at every meet, and as recently as camper jam 14, its a real character but I struggle with driving it due to a disability, that is my ONLY reason for sale otherwise it would stay in my garage dry stored as it is now. Please don't low offer me, I know its worth and I'll be fair in what I'll accept. I don't want swaps either, unless you own a Karmann Ghia! I already own other cars so please don't waste either of our times. Thanks for checking out my listing.
