1959 US spec Kombi with camping interior

Imported from California in 2004

Full bare metal respray and build in 2007, including brand new loom.

Jaguar Dark Cherry bottom half, Fiat cream top half and bumpers

The only bits of new metal was rear wheel arches as they had been cutout, and a 50p size piece in one of the sills, everything else original German metal.

Unfortunately photos of the restoration were lost with the great SSVC hack a couple of years back, but several people on here can vouch for the work done.

Garaged ever since, serviced regularly by Stef at Manchester Aircooled

Still 99.9% rust free.

Not a trailer queen, so has some camping scars, scratches and chips, nothing down to the metal,  still a head turner wherever she goes.

Creative engineering safaris and 6 x pop outs.

CSP (i think) disk brakes and dual master cylinder

The headlight dip switch has been moved from the floor to the indicator switch.

High level brake light and additional indicators in rear window.

Original uncut dash.

Fuel gauge, rev counter, oil temperature and oil pressure gauges in overhead air panel.

Static seatbelts fitted

Custom interior in oak and leather

Camping interior made to maximise storage, includes sink, cooker and hidden fridge.

Leisure battery, Electric Hookup, LED lights in headliner (but these are 15+ years old, so not very bright, old technology).

1600TP engine, Straight Axle rear suspension. New battery (1 year old)
