1974 Bay window project

Right hand drive VW Bay window project for sale.

We bought this van around 7 or 8 years ago.

Tax & MOT exempt

Had a lot of welding done and then it sat in corner of the workshop unloved, collecting dust. Thought it was about time someone else had the chance to either complete it or stick it in the corner of their workshop for a few more years to collect dust.

It is being sold as a rolling shell. No engine or gearbox (although I do have a refurbished gearbox that I would sell at e reduced price as part of a package deal). Basically anything that is in the picture, windows, 2x windscreens, wiper assembly, sliding door channel covers, headlights and bits attached to the van (not the ramp though) is included in the sale

Drivers door is a very good solid door, passenger door is rusted on the bottom. Engine lid is good. Tailgate is good apart from a hole in lower part of window reveal. Sliding door has been repaired on the bottom but is better than most I've seen.

Also has a T25 engine inspection hatch and frame cut into rear shelf

Has had a lot of replacement panels fitted including

front panel

inner and outer front valance

both front wheel arches

near side inner and outer sills

off side inner sill

all 4 jacking points

both rear arches

Still requires a few small patches here and there.

This is a factory right hand drive windowed tin top bus not a panel van conversion.

I have the V5 in my name and keys
