Vw 1971 deluxe campervan

(The Pie wagon)

I imported the bus from Portland, Oregon USA

9 years ago so only 1 uk owner.

Super solid bus. Only welding the van has ever seen was a new battery tray as the original had a 5 pence piece size hole in it.

Obviously the appearance and style is ratty and not to everyone’s taste, but this is by far the most solid Vw I have ever owned (and I’ve had a few 😂) and I love the character of it.

Garaged throughout ownership and only driven in rain when on the way home from weekends away. Gutted to be selling it and never thought the day would come but with growing boys we need more space and going back down the motorhome route.

Loads of paperwork and receipts including importation documents etc

In my ownership I have fitted:

Wagonswest 4 inch narrowed and adjustable front beam

French slammer rear spring plates

Slightly notched the rear chassis to get it down lower

Undersealed

Porsche Fuchs alloys, 4.5 wide on the front

5.5 wide on the rear

New disc and later callipers to front

Rock and roll bed

Removable cooker unit with 2x ring burners and grill. Cutlery draw and pan cupboards.

Leisure battery with split charging system

Pioneer head unit with 15 inch sub and amp

Pioneer and mission speakers front and rear

Auto meter sport comp gauges (monster tach, oil temp and oil pressure)

1776cc motor built by The Vw engine company in 2019 and only covered around 2000 miles.

Ran in, oil changed and runs like a dream.

Set up on a local performance engineering shops rolling road

Pulls like a train with plenty of power but never abused

Brand new crankcase used for build

Twin Webber 34ICT carbs with CSP linkage

Engle 120 cam

CB performance oil pump

Fuel cut off valve

Fram racing external oil filter

Vintage speed exhaust

Again, the bus is not to everyone’s taste. I have left the interior alone as I think it matches the outside 😂

We have had some amazing times in it and made some unforgettable memories but it’s time to let someone else enjoy the fun and put their stamp on the Pie Wagon

Obviously road tax free and MOT exempt

£18,500 ovno
