I am reluctantly selling my 1971 early bay double cab that I have owned for 3 years.
Neptune blue with cloudy white. VW colours!

I bought it from Spain where it had been exported from Germany from manufacture and had been used as a postal delivery pick up.. Quite cool! Hence its stance and ride height which I have left as is..

I have the VW Certificate confirming its date of manufacture, VIN etc. I have kept all old ITV records and paperwork/receipts from prior owner and those from whilst I have owned it.

It is on French collection carte grise and classic plates and will have a valid French controle technique.

The previous owner had restored it down to bare metal with many new parts and I have a selection of photos showing the work done.

I have kept it garaged since owning it, never driven through rain or mud so its in great condition. Not concourse but is impressive when you see it and it always draws a crowd and interest when I do go out in it!

I have driven very low miles in it so its in excellent condition. Underneath is sealed and the servo brakes ensure it stops on a dime.

I left the interior as it was as I like the original look and don’t even have a stereo as I prefer to listen to the engine and use a Bluetooth speaker and my phone.. There is an old stereo in it but I never connected it. It had new seat covers and many new parts for the interior as you will see.

I had a hand made rear tonneau cover made by yacht cover specialists using sun and waterproof material and bought new bars to support it so the rear bed is well protected. The rear bed is new metal and no drill holes in it anywhere.. I wanted to leave it untouched so no rust issues would occur.

This is an excellent condition pick up and has been Meguiars cleaned with waterless spray and polished every few months so paintwork is excellent.

Anyone interested in this classic should come see in person!

No tyre kickers, low ballers entertained.

The vehicle is well worth the price I am asking as I spent 4 years looking for a double cab and travelled all the way to Spain to get it! It has been serviced and oil changed and the 1600 twin port engine runs sweetly.

Here is an example of the work the previous owner did when restoring it:
