This is a 1966 VW Beetle De-luxe. It has had a lot of work done mechanically (all work completed by professionals) to get it to its current level. The car was a barn find when I bought it (about 3 years ago) and the underneath has remained solid.
Original ‘sea blue’ paint- the patina is authentic
1600 engine installed professionally (still in possession of the original engine),
Total upgrade to 12 volts (majority of wiring replaced),
New brakes all around,
New exhaust system,
Re-alignment,
Empi Short shift plate,
Inertia seatbelts (from heritage parts),
Newly painted wheels.
Front ‘towel rail’ bumper and standard rear bumper.
Carbs have been stripped and cleaned
Added a fuel filter.

The car is particularly characterful, wins smiles from everyone who sees it and has been proven to cheekily steal the spotlight from DB5s at car shows. I have just had the car serviced and some more work done to make sure it’s completely up and running.
